Dan Morehead, CEO of Pantera Capital, delivered a scathing critique of traditional banking during his keynote at Token2049 Dubai. "Banks are like landlines, we don’t need them," he asserted, positioning stablecoins as the inevitable replacement for deposit-taking institutions.

The blockchain pioneer highlighted the technology’s disruptive potential, emphasizing its decentralized nature. "You can transfer to literally anyone with a smartphone, pretty much free, pretty much in real time," Morehead noted, framing crypto as a paradigm shift in financial sovereignty.
